Pei Hwa Outdoor Adventure Club (ODAC) offers our students the opportunity to engage in a wide range of outdoor activities and training programmes that are designed to develop their skills and inspire them to achieve their full potential. Through outdoor experiences, we aim to instill values such as perseverance and discipline, while also fostering an appreciation for nature and our urban surroundings.
Our club is open to students who are willing to step out of their comfort zones and challenge themselves. Through a series of tasks and challenges, our members learn to work together as a team and to innovate in order to solve problems effectively. The ODACians also get to learn useful skills such as orienteering, campcraft, and outdoor cooking, while taking part in activities that promote fitness development. These experiences require members to adapt and communicate well with one another, allowing them to develop important soft skills while also earning certificates for their achievements.
At ODAC, we are committed to exploring options that help our students develop important outdoor skills in a holistic manner. Guided by our motto "One for All, All for One", we are proud to be one big family that celebrates and embraces each other's differences. Overall, ODAC offers an excellent opportunity for students to grow and learn in a supportive and challenging environment. We encourage all students who are interested in outdoor adventure and personal development to join us and become part of our community.

When I first joined ODAC, I was a quiet student who rarely stepped out of my comfort zone. Looking back, joining ODAC was one of the best decisions I have made. From my first session, my seniors and peers welcomed me warmly. Their encouragement gave me confidence and taught me the meaning of ODAC’s motto, “One for All, All for One.” Through training, camps, competitions and outdoor activities, I developed resilience, teamwork and responsibility. Most importantly, ODAC transformed me from a shy student into someone willing to take initiative and lead. Today, as President, I hope to lead by example and create a welcoming environment where every member feels valued. Just as my seniors inspired me, I hope to inspire my juniors to discover their potential. I am grateful for the friendships, memories and lessons ODAC has given me. “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try.”— President 2026, Teo Xue Ting
My experience in ODAC has been one of the most memorable chapters of my secondary school life. ODAC was a reason I wanted to join Pei Hwa Secondary School, so I was grateful when my appeal was successful. When I joined ODAC in Secondary 1, I was introverted and physically unfit. Coming from a Drama Club background, outdoor adventure was new to me. I often struggled to keep up during training and doubted myself. However, my passion for ODAC motivated me to persevere. Inspired by those around me, I trained consistently and developed a love for running. As my fitness and confidence improved, I became involved in competitions and took on leadership responsibilities. Through camps, training and shared experiences, I formed friendships and discovered new interests. ODAC made me more confident, resilient and willing to embrace challenges. I am grateful for the memories, friendships and life lessons.— Vice President Of Special Project 2025, Chong Kathleen
My experience in ODAC has been unlike any other experience in school. When I first joined, I struggled with the physical demands, especially running, push-ups, camp craft and tent pitching. I often found it difficult to keep up with my peers and questioned whether I could meet the demands of ODAC. Through training, camps and outdoor activities, I gradually adapted and became more confident. Along the way, I formed meaningful friendships with my seniors and juniors, whose camaraderie made every challenge more manageable. One significant moment was being offered the role of Group IC in Secondary 3. Although I initially doubted myself, I stepped out of my comfort zone and learnt that leadership is not about being the strongest, but about supporting others, setting a positive example and growing together. ODAC has taught me resilience, responsibility and teamwork, while giving me friendships and memories I will always cherish.— Group IC 2025, Jian Yiqi
ODAC has been a significant part of my secondary school life and has played a major role in shaping who I am today. Coming from the Board Games Club in primary school, I was more of an indoor person. Wanting a fresh experience, I joined ODAC, unaware of how challenging it would be. The vigorous training, demanding outdoor activities and new skills often left me overwhelmed. There were moments when I doubted myself, but the support of my seniors kept me going. Their guidance helped me build confidence and a strong sense of belonging. As I grew to love ODAC, I became more involved, serving as Logistics IC before becoming President. These leadership experiences taught me responsibility, communication and the importance of leading by example. ODAC also taught me resilience and teamwork. I am grateful for the friendships, memories and lessons that will stay with me long after secondary school.— President 2025, Zack Leow Bo Jun
