The Mathematics department is dedicated to providing our students with an education in mathematical skills, processes, and concepts, along with the essential metacognitive skills to foster a genuine appreciation for Mathematics. The Department aims to develop every student to think logically, critically and analytically to strive in the future economy.
Curriculum
As Mathematics is the key to many areas in our everyday lives, we hope to equip our students with a strong foundation in Mathematics so that they would become competent and life-long learners.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are fostered beyond the confines of the textbooks through exploratory tasks and manipulatives, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages collaborative learning. By embracing technology and supporting individual growth, the department aims to cultivate curious and proactive lifelong learners who recognize Mathematics as a fundamental enabler to support future learning.
