Future Leaders Programme (FLP)
Our Vision
At Pei Hwa Secondary School, the Future Leaders Programme (FLP) is a signature initiative that integrates our Applied Learning Programme (ALP) in Robotics and Programming with the Learning for Life Programme (LLP) in Community Youth Leadership. Through this unique blend, we empower students to harness technology and apply Futures Thinking, anticipating emerging trends and challenges, to create innovative and sustainable solutions. This prepares them to be proactive change makers who shape and lead the future.
Our Programmes
The FLP curriculum is built around the Pei Hwa Innovation Cycle, a Design Thinking framework inspired by Stanford’s model, enriched with Futures Thinking principles. This approach guides students through empathy, ideation, prototyping and testing while encouraging them to envision multiple possible futures and develop future ready solutions using technology.
- Secondary 1 students focus on identifying and solving challenges within their immediate school community, grounding their innovations in real world needs.
- Secondary 2 students expand their impact to address broader societal and environmental issues, leveraging technology and Futures Thinking to anticipate future needs and opportunities beyond the present.
